WELCOME to Quatt Cricket Club
An ambitious, community-focused cricket club offering competitive cricket for all ages and abilities. With four Saturday teams, a Women’s 1st XI, a Midweek XI and a thriving junior section, we provide a clear pathway from grassroots cricket through to Premier Division competition for both men and women.
Recognised as Shropshire Junior Club of the Year, our junior programme sits at the heart of the club, supported by the ECB All Stars programme and Friday evening training providing a strong pathway into senior cricket.
Friendly, inclusive and forward-looking, we are proud to invest in the future of cricket in our community, on and off the field.
Our STORY
Quatt Cricket Club is a long-established village club that continues to grow and evolve with the game. What began as a traditional local club, founded in 1908 by Captain G C Wolryche-Whitmore, has developed into a welcoming and progressive cricket environment, offering opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
Today, the club supports a strong junior section alongside competitive senior and women’s teams, creating a clear pathway for players to develop and enjoy cricket at every stage. With dedicated volunteers, committed coaches and a shared love of the game, Quatt Cricket Club is proud of its past and focused on building a strong future.
Club Facilities
We offer excellent on-site facilities that support cricket at every level, from junior development through to senior premiership play.
Our welcoming pavilion and on-site changing facilities provide a comfortable, social hub for players, officials and visitors alike.
Training and preparation are underpinned by three high-quality artificial practice nets, alongside a dedicated artificial match-play wicket, ensuring consistent, all-weather opportunities to play and improve.
On junior training evenings, we offer light food options in the clubhouse, with 4 street food vendor events during the season.
Match days are hosted across two well-maintained grass squares — Square 1 (12 wickets) and Square 2 (8 wickets) — allowing us to accommodate a busy weekly fixture programme while maintaining excellent playing standards throughout the season.
Together, these facilities enable us to deliver a professional, inclusive and enjoyable cricketing environment for the whole community.
Awards & Accreditations
The club is proud to be recognised for its commitment to cricket development and good club governance.
This includes:
• National and regional cricket accreditations
• Recognition for junior development and participation
• Strong links with local leagues and cricket organisations
These accreditations reflect the club’s standards, values and long-term commitment to the game and is reinforced by the award of Shropshire Junior Club of the Year 2025.
“Behind every thriving club is a community that chooses to support it.”

Our live streamed matches also gain an average of 250-300 viewers per match on YouTube with social media highlights seeing 25-30k viewers.
Our new Fixture Card is planned for distribution to all local schools, club members, local residents, sponsors, local businesses and available for pickup in the local farm shop, library and doctors surgery – total distribution of 1,000 copies.
